Nice try but besides pregnancy testing and ultrasound, none of those places provide any medical services.

"Childbirth preparation"...is that Lamaze or something? I can take the class at the library.

Those are all great services but not an alternative for Planned Parenthood or a full service health clinic.

I am an avid supporter of Planned Parenthood, the pro-choice movement, and B*illikens for Choice, but I feel like the facts are a little skewed here.

If you go on the actual Planned Parenthood website, you can see that abortions actually DO occur inside the building. They are just preformed by "Reproductive Health Services of PPLSR" and not specifically Planned Parenthood's "Central West End Health Center."

Like I said, I fully support you all, but I think the facts need to be presented in an accurate light.

I can also affirm that abortions are performed at the Planned Parenthood center on Forest Park. It's not difficult to pick up on if you've been to this location. The website also shows that abortion services can be found at the same street address as the healh center.

That part should be taken out. Wrong information can discredit this group.

ProChoiceSLU, why should anyone be uncomfortable with abortion services at this location of Planned Parenthood?

In your own post you betray the understanding inside every human being that there is something very wrong, very damaging, very traumatizing, very painful about abortion...to the point that it would make many people uncomfortable to be around it.

Hmm.

Thanks for the heads up--we had incorrect information. The post has been edited.

Rachel,

I think the authors simply meant to acknowledge that some, such as yourself, might be uncomfortable with abortion. Just because some people are uncomfortable with it, doesn't mean all people should automatically be uncomfortable, too. In addition, I don't think the authors of this site mean to shout from the rooftops that abortion is great. They simply seek to foster constructive conversations about options available before and after conception.
