Most universities provide free condoms year-round to their students in recognition of the important role they play in preventing STDs and unplanned pregnancies. Like many other Catholic schools, SLU has chosen not to make the sexual health of their students a priority. It's no surprise then that women at Catholic universities are

SLU does in fact make the OVERALL health of their students a priority by not offering condoms and other contraceptives. The medical, emotional and moral consequences of having sex even with a condom are incredibly serious. I would strongly encourage you to watch this video from doctors and sex education experts (including one from SLU) about these consequences to truly have the facts and know what you are encouraging amongst your fellow students:

Condoms do NOT protect against HSV or Herpes. yikes.
